Educational Neuroscience, the International and Local (Singapore) State-of-the-Art
Project Information:
Educational Neuroscience (EN) is an emerging academic field that brings knowledge from neuroscience, psychology, and education to improve the teaching and learning process. What is the global state-of the-art of EN? And, where does Singapore stand today with respect to this global scenario? This study evaluates the current, international and Singaporean state-of-the-art of EN via different approaches. The resulting data have potential to inform interest groups, including researchers, governmental agencies, and educational institutions, about international and local trends towards EN. The findings will also help to frame guidelines and new directions to better implement EN in educational systems in Singapore and across the globe.
Requirements:
‐ Academic qualification: advanced undergraduate degree student (in the last years) or
graduate student
‐ Work experience: some work experience in research. Experience with literature reviews,
survey implementation, and programming skills is preferable. Neuroscience background is
also preferable
‐ Desirable skills and attributes: good communication and organizational skills; good
interpersonal skills; good team-player, proactive and able to work independently
Responsibilities:
To support the implementation schedule of a systematic review, a web-based survey, and bibliometric analysis. Tasks include summarizing research related literature, conducting data collection, organizing data, computing basic statistical analyses, creating diagrams, and drafting dissemination documents.
Target contract start and end date – as soon as possible – minimum contract duration of 2 months
Time Type – 10-20 hours per week, flexible schedule
