Caroline Wee
President
Caroline Wee is the current serving President of SfN.SG. For the past 3 years she has been on the ExCO as the Director of Seminars. She is a Principal Investigator at the Institute of Molecular and Cell Biology, A*STAR, and was awarded the National Research Foundation Fellowship in 2020.
Christopher L. Asplund
Treasurer
Christopher Asplund is the Chapter’s Treasurer. He is an Associate Professor, and Head of Studies, Psychology Major at Yale-NUS College and has joint appointment at the N.1 Institute for Health at NUS. He leads a lab studying attention control using various imaging techniques, eye-tracking, and other physiological readouts.

Co-Director of Seminars
Sarah Luo was elected as one of the chapter’s Co-Director of Seminars. She has been an ExCo member since 2021. Sarah is a Principal Investigator at the Institute of Molecular and Cell Biology, A*STAR, and was awarded the National Research Foundation Fellowship in 2020.
Serenella Tolomeo
Co-Director of Seminars
Serenella Tolomeo is another of the chapter’s Co-Director of Seminars. Serenella is currently a Senior Scientist at the Institute of High Perfomance Computing, A*STAR and her research seeks to determine the psychological and neural mechanisms underlying mental health conditions.
Matas Vitkauskas
Newsletter Editor | Webguru
Matas Vitkauskas is the chapter's Newsletter Editor and Webguru. He holds a Bachelors' degree in Life Sciences from Yale-NUS College in Singapore. He works at the Genome Institute of Singapore, A*STAR in Dr. Jinyue Liu’s lab. He applies single-cell spatial-omics technologies to study selective vulnerability in Parkinson’s disease in midbrain-like organoids.
Stuart Derbyshire
Co-Director of Seminars
Stuart Derbyshire is the fourth of the team of chapter’s Co-Directors of Seminars. Stuart is an Associate Professor at NUS and has a joint appointment with the Clinical Imaging Research Centre (CIRC). His work revolves around the brain's response to pain and how the latter can be studied using various imaging technologies (PET, fMRI and EEG).
Vanja Cnops
Director of Membership | Social Media Co-Coordinator | Newsletter Editor
Vanja Cnops is the Director of Membership. She doubles up as the social media Co-Coordinators and editor for the chapter's newsletter. She is a Post-Doctoral Fellow at the Neuroscience and Metabolic Phenotyping Core at NUS.

Ajay S. Mathuru
Chief Communications Officer
Ajay S. Mathuru was appointed as SfN.SG Chapter's Chief Communications Officer in 2024. He has previously served as the chapter's president (2021-24) and is an Associate Professor at the Department of Physiology in Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, NUS. He also is appointed as Head of Studies for Life Sciences at Yale-NUS College, at A*STAR's Institute of Molecular and Cell Biology, and in WisDM and Healthy Longevity TRPs at NUS.
