The Brain & Body Seminar Series is co-organized by SfN.SG, IMCB’s Division of Neurometabolism, and A*STAR’s Brain-Body Initiative. It was launched late last year, with Professor Liping Zhao (Rutgers University) as the inaugural speaker. At this virtual seminar, Prof. Zhao showcased his groundbreaking research on prebiotic diets for obesity treatment. He also described a new reference-free and ecology-based approach to characterizing gut microbiota function.

The series promises to engage expert speakers in metabolism, neuroscience, and the interactions between brain and body systems every year and connect the Singapore neuroscience community with their work.
