SfN.SG’s Annual General Meeting recently brought together members of the neuroscience community for an engaging afternoon of scientific discussion, society updates, and networking at the Duke-NUS Medical School Amphitheatre.
Held on Friday, 17 April, the event provided a valuable opportunity for attendees to connect with fellow members, reflect on the society’s progress, and look ahead to future initiatives.
A key highlight of the gathering was the guest lecture by Richard She from Nanyang Technological University, who delivered an insightful presentation titled “Identifying the Genetic Determinants of Human Brain Expansion.” His talk offered attendees a compelling exploration into the genetic factors influencing human brain development, sparking meaningful conversations among participants.
The programme began with an introduction and guest lecture, followed by the official SfN.SG AGM session, where members reviewed society matters and discussed ongoing goals. The evening concluded with wine, refreshments, and networking, fostering stronger connections within the community.
To ensure accessibility, the event also included a hybrid participation option for members unable to attend in person, allowing broader engagement across the SfN.SG network.
SfN.SG looks forward to welcoming even more members to future events as the society continues to strengthen and expand Singapore’s neuroscience community through collaboration, scientific exchange, and shared passion.
